It has been a very busy week at work, but each day brought many joys because of the type of work I do. Nevertheless, being Friday, I started falling into a funk in the afternoon. It is also always a bit of an adjustment following a vacation – in our case the sunny state of Florida where our great friends Ross and Wendy hosted us! We had the most amazing time, but more on that in another post.
Anyways, I started doing some reading and that began a change my mood for the better. Indeed I began to think about how blessed I am, and how much joy there is in my life, and I can only be thankful to God for all His grace.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV
In the following time I was inspired to browse several photo books in my library, and that further excited me, in particular Brett Weston’s volume of Hawaii images, all in black and white. And as I write this, Stan, our dog, came up to the office for a visit and that further brought happiness!
A few weeks back the ornamental plum trees in our neighborhood were blooming, and it was one of those glorious days, so I brought my Fuji mirrorless cam on our walk. I’ll leave you with a snap…I can almost still smell the sunny blooms.
